Accelerated MBA Program - Frequently Asked Questions
The traditional MBA program is still available; as of August 2014, we will add an accelerated program which can be completed in eighteen (18) months.
Q: How is the accelerated MBA program different from the regular program?
A: The accelerated program will be a full time program lasting eighteen months and will emphasize sustainability, leadership and organizational learning. Students seeking other specializations may take the specializations courses in the traditional program and still complete the program in eighteen months.
Q: What is the structure of the program?
A: There will be 9 sessions; each session will last 8 weeks with a one-week break in between sessions. Students will earn 6 credits during each session towards the 51 credit program. The ninth and final session will be devoted to the completion of special projects (MBA 595). The program requires 51 credits but those with undergraduate degrees in business could have up to 12 credits waived.
Q: What will be the class format?
A: Classes will be in the hybrid format, approximately half on-ground and half on-line. All on-ground classes will be held on Saturdays in the mornings to mid-afternoons. Some classes will be fully online and some will be hybrid.
Q: What are the qualifications for admission?
A: To be admitted into the program, students must have graduated with a 3.0 GPA or better, submit two letters of reference attesting to leadership potential, ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as current resume. Students who do not meet the GPA requirement will have to submit GMAT test results for evaluation.
Q: Who will teach the classes?
A: Classes will be taught by the same excellent full time faculty who teach in the traditional MBA program.
Q: When does the first group start?
A: The first group of students will start classes on August 30, 2014 and complete on January 9, 2016. Enrollment is limited.
