Accelerated MBA Program - Frequently Asked Questions
The traditional MBA program is still available; as of August 2014, we have added an accelerated MBA program which can be completed in eighteen (18) months.
Q: How is the accelerated MBA program different from the regular program?
A: The accelerated program is a full time program lasting 18 months with a hybrid course format with occasional Saturday classes. This program is designed like an Executive MBA program where students are in class with the same students throughout the entire program. This program emphasizes sustainability, leadership and organizational learning; however, students seeking other specializations may take the specializations courses in the traditional program and still complete the program in eighteen months.
Q: What is the structure of the program?
A: This program does not follow the traditional Fall/Spring semester framework of the typical academic year. Instead, there will be 9 sessions; each session will last 8 weeks with a one-week break in between each session. Students will earn 6 credits during each session towards the 51 credit program. The ninth and final session will be devoted to the completion of the special project (MBA 595).
Q: What will be the class format?
A: Classes will be in a hybrid format, approximately half on-ground and half on-line. Classes will have on campus meetings on every other Saturday in the morning following the program provided breakfasts.
Q: What are the qualifications for admission?
A: To be admitted into the program, students should have graduated with a 3.0 GPA or better, submit two letters of reference attesting to leadership potential, ability to work independently and as part of a team, 500 word personal statement and a current resume. Students who do not meet the GPA requirement will need to submit GMAT test results for evaluation.
Q: Who will teach the classes?
A: Classes will be taught by the same excellent full time faculty who teach in the traditional MBA program.
Q: What is the cost of the program?
A: Please visit the Bursar’s Office web page for a current list of approved tuition and fees. The tuition for the Accelerated MBA program includes tuition, books, materials, breakfast and lunch for the in-class Saturday sessions. Although the tuition is listed per semester on the Bursar’s Office page, tuition is paid by the start date of the first, third, fifth, and seventh sessions. The listed price per semester is the amount you will pay four times. Financial aid may be available to those who qualify.

Q: I am an international student, can I apply?
A: No, due to visa restrictions international students cannot be admitted to the Accelerated Program. International students are encouraged to apply to the Traditional MBA Program.
