The Master of Business Administration (general concentration) prepares individuals for leadership positions in businesses and governmental organizations. This is an ideal concentration for those with a desire to improve their general managerial skills for increasing organizational performance and their effectiveness. The program is multidisciplinary and allows learners the flexibility to select from a variety of courses to develop specific skills or subsets of skills.
The MBA concentration in Accounting builds the skills of students to serve successfully in leadership positions through the practice of accounting. Business organizations use accounting for financial and tax reporting, internal control, and overall performance measurement. Using an integrative learning approach, the concentration prepares our students to meet the demands of the accounting practice in organizations.
The MBA concentration in Finance provides our students with a thorough knowledge of the key functional areas of finance. It is designed to help our graduates apply that knowledge in financial decision-making at their respective workplaces to achieve organizational goals. A knowledge of finance is essential in the successful operation of any corporate organization, and this concentration provides our students with the skill sets and attributes required to build and enhance their leadership careers in organizations.
The MBA concentration in Healthcare Administration prepares students with the skills and attributes required to practice successfully in the dynamic healthcare industry. Through a collaborative program with the Department of Public Health, students learn to integrate theory and practice of healthcare services to be able to serve as leaders in the healthcare industry.
The MBA concentration in International Business prepares individuals for competitive positions in the global economy. This concentration allows learners to gain a deeper understanding of business management in the global environment and emphasizes the development of a global mindset in future business leaders. The concentration is multidisciplinary, as students select from four disciplinary international courses (Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Financial Management, or Accounting).
The MBA concentration in Management prepares individuals for initiating new business start-ups, working in small businesses, or pursuing managerial leadership positions in businesses and governmental organizations. The program is designed for learners who want to advance their careers through the acquisition of sustainable and responsible leadership and managerial knowledge, skills, and abilities.
The MBA concentration in Marketing is designed to give students a strong foundation to develop critical-decision making skills and develop successful business strategies. Students learn marketing analysis, brand management, analysis of customer phenomena, and evaluation of data and inferences using integrative and team approaches. Students who pursue this concentration will develop the critical marketing skills that are required to build careers and perform successfully in the rapidly evolving marketing landscape.
