MBA Certificate Programs

Admission Requirements 

The Southern School of Business offers certificate programs in Business Analytics, Healthcare Administration, and Human Resources Management. Admission into the certificate programs requires a bachelor’s degree and all applicants must submit their applications for admission through the Graduate School Application portal. Other requirements for the application include academic transcripts, a personal statement and two recommendation letters. All certificate program admissions will require approval by the MBA Program Director.

The certificate programs require 12 credit hours to complete. Students who currently do not meet the admission requirements of the full MBA program can enroll in the certificate programs and later transfer their certificate credits to the MBA program upon admission.

Business Analytics Certificate

In this certificate program, participants will gain conceptual knowledge of existing tools in the field of business analytics. More critically, participants will develop skills to perform sophisticated analysis on all types of business data to generate useful information.  Participants will develop skills to work on business problems using business data to identify patterns, ask relevant business questions, perform appropriate analysis, infer results and propose strategic solutions to business problems.

Healthcare Administration Certificate Requirements

This certificate in Healthcare Administration builds a solid foundation in healthcare administration topics as means to explore careers in healthcare management, develop specific health care management skills, or enhance healthcare administrative skills. The credits students earn in the certificate program can be applied toward MBA in Health Administration degree if you choose to continue your education at School of Business.

All applicants must submit their applications for admission through the Graduate School Application portal. The requirements for the application include academic transcripts and a personal statement. Admissions are on a rolling basis and will require approval by the MBA Program Director.

Human Resource Management Certificate Requirements 

This certificate in Human Resources Management builds a solid foundation in HRM topics as means to explore careers and enhance HRM skills. The Human Resource Management Certificate programs require 12 credit hours to complete. Students who currently do not meet the admission requirements of the full MBA program can enroll in the certificate programs and later transfer their certificate credits to MBA program upon admission.
